Jane is responsible for marketing at Gray Healthcare. She works closely with our Business Development and Recruitment teams as well as supporting other colleagues across the business.
Before joining Gray Healthcare:
After school Jane completed a BSc (hons) degree in Psychology at the University of Plymouth. Her first role post degree was working in a GP practice undertaking data collection and medical audit. Whilst studying for a MSc in Organisational Development, she became interested in marketing and applied for her first marketing manager role at a private hospital in Worcester. A few years later she was promoted to Regional Marketing Manager and then following a group restructure moved to a Business Development Manager role at a large private hospital in the West Midlands. Through a former work colleague, an opportunity arose to work from home for an independent healthcare company specialising in mental health, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury. Following a number of years in this role, she moved to Gray Healthcare as Head of Marketing.
‘Without a shadow of a doubt it’s the people – both the people we support and my colleagues. As a healthcare marketeer, working here is the marketing dream. There is fantastic clinical outcome data which evidences the positive impact of the support we provide to people in our society with complex needs. Added to this are the personal stories from our staff teams sharing their best days working here, the daily achievements of the people we support and a ready stock of testimonials from people we support, their families, referrers and our staff. Every day I speak with colleagues who have the most unbelievable stories to tell and who do not always realise that what they do day-in and day-out is quite exceptional. Their shared passion for delivering the best support possible to the people we support and to each other is inspirational and comes across in every conversation I have with my colleagues, irrespective of their role.’
‘Inspiring, exceptional and compassionate’
