He has also managed a part time private practice (in London and Wales) utilising Clinical Hypnotherapy and Brief Strategic Therapy approaches to support clients. As a registered member of the National Counselling Society, Gordon draws upon theory, research, and practice from various psychology and counselling models and adopts a flexible and integrated approach. He works collaboratively and interactively with clients in a multimodal approach, adhering to the core principles of empathy, congruence and positive regard.
‘The ethics here are good and I like the whole idea that the level of support an individual needs could reduce as self-esteem and skills improve. The move from the individual’s current setting to a home of their own with a Gray Healthcare package of care is very well thought through and planned and helps the transition go smoothly for the individual.’
