Becky is a Senior Business Development Manager responsible for the Midlands and South of England. She is responsible for helping the business grow sustainably and widening our support offer to more people with complex needs living in the UK. She manages individual referrals and supports and facilitates throughout the referral process.
Before joining Gray Healthcare:
Becky has worked in health and social care for over 15 years, and in business development for over 20 years. She began her career as a Bid Writer for an architect’s practice in Manchester following completion of a degree in English and Creative Writing. During her time in this role, she gained experience in procurement and commissioning and whilst she had the ability to utilise her creative writing skills, she realised she ultimately did not have a passion for architecture. Having always had a keen interest in psychology and sociology, when an opportunity arose to join a national care provider as a Bid Writer, she saw this as the perfect way to align her interests with her profession. She moved into a Business Development role in 2017 and over time, she began to specialise in complex support, specifically supporting individuals under the national Transforming Care Programme.
‘I like that we see the person for who they are, not just their diagnosis or historic risk presentation. We take the time to get to know the person and build bespoke person-centred support around them. We understand behaviour as a form of communication and seek to understand the reasons behind and purpose of their behaviour. We promote positive risk taking as a pathway to independence and empowerment, recognising risk as a natural part of everyday life. I’m proud that our model for complex support is highly specialist and robust, which means we rarely ever say ‘no’ to people referred to us.
‘Compassionate, open-minded and innovative’
